AIDA 1 Freediver Course
The AIDA 1 Freediver Course is a gentle and structured introduction to the fundamentals of freediving, focused entirely on pool or confined water training — with no ocean session included.
Freediving is about mastering your breath, building inner calm, and exploring underwater freedom with minimal equipment. If you've always wanted to experience the sensation of moving effortlessly beneath the surface, this course provides the perfect first step.
AIDA 1 teaches essential breath-hold skills, basic safety procedures, and an understanding of how your body adapts during apnea — all within a comfortable and controlled pool environment. It's ideal for beginners who want to develop confidence and a strong foundation before moving on to deeper open water training.
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Be able to swim at least 100m non-stop
No prior snorkeling, skin diving, or freediving experience required
Passing Requirements:
Complete all knowledge development sessions and quizzes.
Static apnea (STA): Minimum 1 minute breath-hold.
Dynamic apnea (DYN or DNF): Minimum 25 meters underwater swim.
Demonstrate basic safety and buddy procedures in the pool.
Show comfort with basic freediving techniques in confined water.

AIDA 2 Freediver Course
The AIDA 2 Freediver Course is your first full certification in freediving, combining both pool and open water training. This course builds on basic skills and introduces you to deeper dives, longer breath-holds, and more advanced safety techniques.
Freediving is about focus, relaxation, and trusting your body's natural ability to adapt. Through theory sessions, breath-hold exercises, and gradual depth training, you will learn how to dive safely and efficiently, while becoming a competent buddy for other freedivers.
AIDA 2 is perfect for beginners who are comfortable in the water and are ready to explore freediving beyond the surface.
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Can swim at least 200m non-stop without fins or at least 300m non-stop with mask, fins and snorkel
No prior freediving certification required (basic snorkeling or pool experience is helpful but not mandatory)
Passing Requirements:
Complete all theory sessions, including final written exam (minimum 75% pass mark).
Static apnea (STA): Minimum 2 minutes breath-hold.
Dynamic apnea (DYN or DNF): Minimum 40 meters underwater swim.
Constant weight dive (CWT or CWTB) in open water: Minimum 12 meters depth (and maximum of 20 meters).
Perform proper buddying, rescue from 5–10 meters, and safety procedures in open water.
Demonstrate correct equalization techniques, freediving posture, and safe ascent behavior.

AIDA 3 Freediver Course
The AIDA 3 Freediver Course is designed for intermediate freedivers who want to further improve their skills, extend their depths, and refine their techniques both in the pool and in open water.
Freediving at this level is about precision, technique, and deeper self-awareness. You'll master advanced equalization methods, efficient movement underwater, and more complex rescue scenarios — building both confidence and safety at greater depths.
AIDA 3 prepares you for serious personal training, advanced courses, or even the first steps toward becoming a freediving professional.
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Have completed the AIDA2 course or have completed the AIDA2 Crossover Evaluation if crossing over from another freediving agency
Passing Requirements:
Complete advanced theory sessions, including a final written exam (minimum 75% pass mark).
Static apnea (STA): Minimum 2 minutes 45 seconds breath-hold.
Dynamic apnea (DYN or DNF): Minimum 55 meters underwater swim.
Constant weight dive (CWT or CWTB) in open water: Minimum 24 meters depth (and maximum of 30 meters).
Demonstrate advanced rescue techniques (rescue from 10–15 meters).
Perform advanced equalization (e.g., Frenzel) and efficient diving technique.
Show strong buddying skills, planning dives, and performing safe surface intervals.
