The Molchanovs Lap 1 Freediver Course offers a smooth and structured entry into the world of freediving, focusing entirely on pool or confined water skills without any open water dives.

This course covers the foundations of breath-hold diving, introducing relaxation techniques, finning style, streamlining, body positioning, and essential safety skills. Designed for beginners, Lap 1 builds a strong technical base and prepares you for deeper exploration in future levels.
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Be able to swim at least 200 meters non-stop without fins
Be able to swim at least 100 meters non-stop with mask, snorkel, and fins
Good physical health and comfort in the water
No prior freediving experience required
Passing Requirements:
Complete all academic sessions, knowledge reviews, and theory exams.
Static apnea (STA): Minimum 1 minute 30 seconds breath-hold.
Dynamic apnea with fins (DYN): Minimum 30 meters underwater swim.
Demonstrate basic buddy system and rescue skills in confined water.
Show proper body positioning, relaxation, and movement techniques.
Note: Molchanovs Lap 1 is a pool-based certification and does not include open water dives.

Molchanovs Wave 1 Freediver Course
The Molchanovs Wave 1 Freediver Course is a comprehensive introduction to freediving, combining pool (confined water) and ocean (open water) training for a complete first experience.
Freediving is about mastering your breath, building inner calm, and embracing underwater exploration with grace and confidence. If you've ever dreamed of descending into the deep on a single breath, discovering your true aquatic potential, this course is your gateway.
Wave 1 teaches fundamental breath-hold techniques, efficient movement in water, essential safety skills, and the physics and physiology of freediving. You’ll gain experience both in confined water and open water, gradually building your skills and confidence to dive safely and enjoyably to moderate depths.

Molchanovs Wave 2 Freediver Course
The Molchanovs Wave 2 Freediver Course is designed for those ready to advance their freediving skills, focusing on deeper diving techniques, refined safety practices, and increased breath-hold performance — across both confined and open water environments.
Freediving is about progressing your inner calm, expanding your limits, and exploring new depths with efficiency and control. If you've already experienced the freedom of the water and are eager to dive deeper, stay longer, and move more gracefully beneath the surface, Wave 2 is your next step.
Wave 2 builds upon the fundamentals, teaching advanced equalization techniques, more efficient movement underwater, enhanced rescue skills, and deeper self-awareness during apnea. It prepares you for greater challenges while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and technique.
Prerequisites:
Be 18 years of age or older (16 or 17 years old with parent or guardian consent)
Completed Molchanovs Wave 1, Lap 1, or equivalent certification from another agency
Be able to swim at least 400m non-stop without fins
Be in good physical health and comfortable in open water
Passing Requirements:
Complete all knowledge development sessions, theory exams, and practical assessments.
Static apnea (STA): Minimum 2 minutes 30 seconds breath-hold.
Dynamic apnea with fins (DYN): Minimum 50 meters underwater swim.
Dynamic apnea without fins (DNF): Minimum 24–30 meters underwater swim.
Constant weight dive with fins (CWT): Depth between 24m and 30m.
Constant weight no fins dive (CNF): Minimum 15m depth.
Demonstrate rescue from 15m depth.
Show mastery of freediving techniques, advanced safety, and buddy procedures.
